Shavuot

May 17 - May 18

Shavuot (Hebrew: שָׁבוּעוֹת‎, “weeks”), is known in English as the Feast of Weeks. In Exodus 34:22, Shavuot marks the wheat harvest in the Land of Israel. Some say that Shavout commemorates the anniversary of YHVH giving of the Torah to the Children of Israel at Mount Sinai. The dates of Shavuot are directly linked to the Passover. The Torah seven weeks, beginning on the second day of Passover, to be followed by Shavuot.
