The following is a revelation on ordaining disciples to the ministry, and further instructions on the sacrament of holy Communion. This revelation was received in Ohio on the morning of November 25, 2015. “After receiving previous instructions, I inquired further. Upon prayer and meditation, I was given of the Lord the following revelation.”
This revelation is given to all that accept and believe, wish to be ordained into the ministry, and those that have been ordained by the laying on of hands by those with authority to preform the ordinances mentioned. We ask members of the Fellowship to read this revelation prayerfully to determine if it should be added to the Fellowship Doctrine and Covenants.
Unto my servant; David I say to thee: I am well pleased;
For thou has sought wisdom in my name, therefore I have more to say unto thee concerning the Sacraments of bread and wine;
For I have heard thy prayers inquiring of me as to the vision I gave thee in Washington D.C.
¶ Yea, thus saith the Lord unto His people by the mouth of His servant David:
Behold, I say into thee that when one is called to be a deacon, be they male or female, ye shall impart unto them the first token of the Lesser Priesthood, be they of the Aaronic or of MIriam; its name, and its sign, and even the apron and sash to wear over their garments.
And when the deacons and teachers gather one with another, they should welcome each other with this, the first token of the lesser priesthood, that they may know each other as such.
¶ And when one is called as a priest or priestess in my name, behold ye shall impart unto them the second token of the Lesser Priesthood; its name, and its sign, and even the robes of the Lesser Priesthood.
And when the Priests and Priestesses gather one with another, they should welcome each other with this, the second token of the lesser priesthood, that they may know each other as such.
¶ Yea, the Lesser Priesthood holds the keys to the preparatory gospel; yea even the gospel of repentance and of baptism, and the of remission of sins, and the law of carnal commandments;
For behold, these are but a few of the duties of the priests and priestesses that act in my name with my authority:
To baptize all they that believe in my name, and to bless the sacraments that all may be born into the Church of God, even the Church of Christ, and washed clean of their sins;
Therefore, I would that ye should not only wear the robes of the Lesser Priesthood, but even use the first sign of this, the Lesser Priesthood, when any should baptize and administer these Sacraments.
But behold, the second sign ye shall not use; for behold, the first sign of the Lesser Priesthood is the sign of the covenant;
Therefore, when blessing the bread and the wine it is pleasing unto me that they who perform these ordinances should raise their right hand to the square,
For behold, this is why I revealed the first sign of the Lesser Priesthood to my servant Joseph: that my people may show unto the world this, the first sign of the Lesser Priesthood, when performing these sacred ordinances;
And behold, this ye shall do as a witness to the world that these things are sacred, and thus not to mock the things of God;
And they in the congregation shall know that these are my servants and act in my name, holding the keys to the office of priest or priestess to preform these duties not by the sign, but by the Spirit that shall accompany them that do so in righteousness.
¶ Therefore go ye and do, even all those that believe in my name that hold these keys, that ye shall be one in my name;
For behold, I am Jesus Christ, he who came to redeem the world. Amen.
The Fellowship interprets this revelation to state how we, in the Fellowship, should prepare those that will preform sacrament of Communion, and how to use the temple mudras as a part of the service. If accepted, this section will be placed with all other sections on the sacrament of Communion in the Community of Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Doctrine and Covenants.
