Conference 2020

April 6, 1830 Joseph Smith Jr. and his followers formally organized the Church of Christ, where small branches were established in Palmyra, Fayette, and Colesville in the state of New York. One hundred, ninety years later The Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship invites all Saints, and all that would call themselves Saints, to join a global conference with the goal of uniting all Latter Day Saints and Christians everywhere. Together we will vote on new revelations given us by the Lord, the Council Elders, and all local leaders.

This is a new day, and a new age. We will speak of new things, and in a new way. We ask that you come not to merely to listen, but to share your thoughts and ideas. We are moving from the Church age to the Kingdom age. This new paradigm is a return to the old, where YOU are the Church and together WE are building the Kingdom of God. And so we ask that the Church come, that we may learn and worship together.

Leaders, please gather all votes from the members of your home, or local synagogue or congregation with the number of “yeas” and “nays” only to info@cjccf.org no later than April 10, 2020. Or, individuals that wish to do so may vote on each pending scripture by commenting on their individual pages.

In independence, we will have a table set up and prepared to be fully present for this gathering. All who come will be invited to sit around this Table prepared with the Sacrament and our symbol that we will be using to symbolize our part in the Fellowship in this service. We invite each family to bring with them to the service either a candle or something that represents your desires to be part of this Fellowship . Allow your children to share their ideas so they too feel included in part of this process. During the ceremony allow your family together to be involved. The following is a brief presentation on how we will share this part of the worship together.

To get the most out of this service, If possible, please turn your camera on so everyone can connect on a more personal level.

Opening of the Service

Scripture 1: Avahr 17:39-42
Reader: FayEllen Ely

“Behold this is my doctrine: Whosoever repenteth and cometh unto me the same is my Church; whosoever declareth more or less than this is not of me, but is against me; therefore, he is not of my Church. Now behold, whosoever is of my Church and endureth in my Church to the end, him will I establish upon my rock, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against them. And now, remember the words of he who has the life and the light of the world; your redeemer your Lord and your God. Amen.”

Closing

Scripture 6: 1 Peter 3:8-11
Reader: Lorriann

“Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.”

Closing Prayer: Christian Amparano
